📢 Respiratory Vaccine Clinic Reminder 💉
Langdon Area Schools hosted the respiratory vaccine shot clinic today! Just a friendly reminder that if your student experiences mild symptoms tonight, it may be a normal reaction to the vaccine.
If you missed today’s clinic, there’s another opportunity! They will be hosting a second shot clinic on Friday, October 17th at the Cavalier County Health Office— perfect timing since we do not have school that day.
Stay healthy, Cardinals! ❤️
🚒🔥 Fire Prevention Week Fun! 🔥🚒
A huge thank you to our Langdon Fire Department for visiting LAES today! 👩🚒👨🚒
Our students loved the assemblies and getting an up-close look at the fire truck! 🚒❤️
We’re so grateful for all you do to keep our community safe! 🙌

✨ A huge THANK YOU to our amazing school janitors! ✨ They keep our school clean, safe, and ready for learning every single day. We are so thankful to have Loren and Tim, and (not pictured) Hailey, Jim, and Craig on staff!

FCCLA raised around $1,000 for Chet during our Hat Day last week! 🧢👒

Introducing Our Cardinal Time Captain!
We are excited to announce that Marah, a 6th grader at LAES, has been chosen as our Cardinal Time Captain for September! ❤️
As this month's Captain, she helped lead our school-wide Cardinal Time assembly, celebrate student successes, and represent what it means to show Cardinal Pride every day.
Great Job, Marah! We can’t wait to see your leadership continue to shine. 🌟

📣Shout out to our September Cardinal Ticket Winners! 👏🏻
These students went above and beyond by showing Cardinal Pride through respect, responsibility, and kindness. ❤️🖤

Thank you to the Goodmans for their pumpkin donation! 🎃

✨Shoutout to some of our 6th graders who jumped in to help our janitors clean up in the lunchroom !🍽️❤️

💛 A big thank you to United Lutheran Church for the thoughtful surprise gifts for each of our staff members! Your kindness and generosity remind us how blessed we are to have such a supportive community by our side. We are grateful! ✨

🎉Happy National IT Professionals Day! 🎉
We may not have a large IT department, but LAS is lucky to have our amazing Technology Coordinator, Mrs. Askvig, on staff. She wears many hats to keep our schools running smoothly. 💻
From troubleshooting, managing devices, supporting teachers and students, to keeping systems updated and secure- her work behind the scenes helps make our learning and teaching flow each day!

Our Cardinal Time groups in the Middle and High School spent time this week doing activities to practice their teamwork skills, make connections with other students, and have fun. Today we were outside in the beautiful weather playing "The Challenge". Congratulations to the Baddy Beta's SuperGroup for making it through all the stations first!

Juniors attended the College and Career Fair on Tuesday at LRSC. They were able to select from a variety of career options for sessions in the morning. After lunch they were able to visit with representatives from colleges, trade schools, military, and organizations.

✨Grandparents’ Day! ✨
Join us on Friday, September 12th at 2:30 as we honor our LAES grandparents.
🍪 To make the day even sweeter, we will also be hosting a Grandparents’ Day Bake Sale during the visit! All proceeds will support our 3rd Grade Spring Field Trip
We can’t wait to see all the smiling faces and celebrate together! ❤️

Today our teachers and administration traveled to Devils Lake for a back-to-school inservice featuring nationally recognized educator and author Jimmy Casas! Jimmy is known for inspiring educators to build positive school cultures, lead with purpose, and always strive for excellence in serving students.
We’re excited to take what we learned today and make this school year the best one yet!
Mrs. Hope even got a picture with Jimmy! 📸
