🎉Happy National IT Professionals Day! 🎉 We may not have a large IT department, but LAS is lucky to have our amazing Technology Coordinator, Mrs. Askvig, on staff. She wears many hats to keep our schools running smoothly. 💻 From troubleshooting, managing devices, supporting teachers and students, to keeping systems updated and secure- her work behind the scenes helps make our learning and teaching flow each day!

Our Cardinal Time groups in the Middle and High School spent time this week doing activities to practice their teamwork skills, make connections with other students, and have fun. Today we were outside in the beautiful weather playing "The Challenge". Congratulations to the Baddy Beta's SuperGroup for making it through all the stations first!

Juniors attended the College and Career Fair on Tuesday at LRSC. They were able to select from a variety of career options for sessions in the morning. After lunch they were able to visit with representatives from colleges, trade schools, military, and organizations.

Open to all Langdon Area Elementary, St. Alphonsus Elementary, and Munich Elementary students grades 3-6.

Practices: Meet at Langdon Area Elementary School playground. Practices begin 3:35 and end 4:00 at the Legion Baseball Field

Race: Harvey Hope Langdon Invitational Cross Country Meet - September 22
o Parents provide transportation for their child to Langdon Country Club Monday, September 22
o 3:30pm – Arrive at golf course (must be present to receive participation shirt)

Today our teachers and administration traveled to Devils Lake for a back-to-school inservice featuring nationally recognized educator and author Jimmy Casas! Jimmy is known for inspiring educators to build positive school cultures, lead with purpose, and always strive for excellence in serving students. We’re excited to take what we learned today and make this school year the best one yet! Mrs. Hope even got a picture with Jimmy! 📸

LAES Communication Update! This year, Langdon Area Schools communication will be on Microsoft TEAMs — one app for the whole district! LAES will not longer be using Class DoJo or Remind.
